This poll is now closed.
I plan on spending a lot of time with both of them. Going for 100% (or as close to it) basically.
Just don't know which one to start with, so help me decide!
(No "Other" option added because I'm craving a RE game and these are the only 2 I've left to play)

Resident Evil 6 is one of your last? Avoid it, you're in danger of ending this run with a poor experience.

Yea.. I duno. I was really excited for it in the beginning.. But I didn't buy it on launch day actually and put it off for a while. But I got it cheap a while ago and I think it's time.

Just play it if you want to, don't ask if you're going to comment on the votes haha.

I'm not a huge fan of the older RE games (but I recognise they are great games, they're just not for me). I prefer the balance that RE4 gave between combat and atmosphere/scares. RE5 was also pretty good if you view it as a shooter or action game.

However I absolutely hate RE6. The combat is not satisfying at all. The game controls seem weird and clunky (I'm not sure how to describe this more, they just felt really "off" to me). The guns feel weak. And the number of times you have to walk past a corpse (which you can shoot, but it does nothing) only for the game to decide "ok now it's animated and you're stuck behind it" at scripted points felt cheap.

@king: Did you play it on PC or console (or PC with a controller)? I thought the controls were neat and fairly fluid on 360 and actually liked them pretty well aside from the fact that they didn't feel very RE-y to me. Any other series and I wouldn't have had a problem. I can agree on the rest of the points though.

To TC, if you're just going to play one, play Revelations. If you plan on playing both start with 6 so you can end strong with Revelations.

Pre-edit: I think the controls felt a lot like dead space but worse with the way melee worked now that I'm thinking about it. Don't make me a super awesome karate master that's winded after 10 seconds of fighting when the game you probably took inspiration from has a 50 year old engineer swinging wildly and stomping for dear life indefinitely.

Play Revelations and drop 6. Game was horrendous. Buy RE4 HD edition and play that.
