I do agree that requirements are getting ridiculous these days, but you're safe with your i5s until intel has 6-8 cores of their own out.

I can see what you are saying being standard by 2016-2017, but I doubt we'll be seeing that next year.

I hope DX12 will get widely supported fast, that should bring down CPU requirements big time. Won't happen unless it's supported on Win7 as well tho.
