The sarcasm was painted pretty heavy but tis the internet I suppose. I wasn't disagreeing with you, just mocking the current labels we have and why your complaints with the current system were just as flawed. Calling something a roleplaying game is a waste of time. It means almost jack squat. :)

I swear every time the definition of RPG's get brought up nowadays, everyone runs around acting oblivious saying "wtf, I dunno lol", then they argue the same reasoning that can be applied to the statement "math runs video games, every playable video game uses a form of math, therefore video games are playable math." Just brilliant. Reductionism to the point of absurdity.

MOBA is fine. There are lots of much much worse genre names. Like JRPGs. They don't have role playing but they get tossed in with RPGs. Or adventure games. Such a generic term for a very defined genre.
