How could anyone NOT have it already, if they ever, EVER had any intention of buying it? :P

But sure, for the 4 oddballs out there that haven't had $5 to their name up until now, it's a fantastic game with a wonderful modding community. I'm pretty sure I pre-ordered it before it came out, and it was one of the more justified $35 purchases I've had.

What if I find the game boring? The whole world is full of nothing. I dunno why people think size is great when the whole thing is just.... empty. Although flying and doing stunts is pretty amusing.

And what side stuff is there to do? Blow up faction buildings? Hmmm.

This

The world felt so empty to me. Blowing things up gets old fast.

Could care less = you care at least somewhat. Couldn't care less = you don't care at all.

I don't mind the empty world as much as the terrible gameplay.

Mods break out the heart and soul of the game.

Infinite jetpacks, unlimited range on the grapple, unbreakable (and/or unlimited) linking ropes, being able to buy any vehicle in the game and have it delivered to you. Weaponizing random planes and cars. Adding insane top speeds and/or submarine capability to sports cars. Boats that go fast enough to ping off islands and take flight. Bubble blaster turned into a hurricane-force pulse gun. Slow motion/matrix mods. Mini-nuke grenades/C4...

The list is insanely long, and if you have a hard time having fun with a little bit of moddin', then it's apparent you have an issue with the genre itself, not the specific game.

That too.

I just didn't have the "wow! this is so fun!" reaction that so many people had. The game felt so completely average to me.

Boring gun play
Empty, boring world
Terrible story
Terrible side quests

Blowing things up was amusing for a couple hours and the grappling hook + parachute combo was fun, but other than that I was thoroughly underwhelmed.

I would love mods like that.... in Grand Theft Auto V PC.

I did actually add a couple of mods to my game (mostly to do with the grappling hook). I should take a closer look at the modding scene, since they can add a lot to the fun factor. I guess I should just focus on the main story, then the fun will jump in my face.

Damn, there is a mod that completely fix the negative accel. I've held off the game for years because it annoyed me so much, but frustratingly it won't work with inverted y axis :(

Thanks for the heads-up. Just bought it now... only for the multiplayer mod.

I never even considered to look for JC2 mods...
