If I get one of those closed loop liquid CPU coolers, can I drop my case fans?

Should I keep the fans for my graphics card? I'm not overclocking anything but have heard that the liquid coolers are quieter and as of now my PC is pretty loud. I have 2 intake fans and 2 exhaust fans.

You'll still need fans on the rad of the CLC unless you have an extremely low power CPU.

Just get some fan controlling software or take the money you'd spend on a CLC and get quieter case fans. Also, the stock fans that came with my H80 were the loudest fans I've ever used. Even on low they were unbearable.

Closed loop coolers are not quieter because you still need fans to disperse the heat and then there's the noise from the pump.

so better fans is a better solution. any recommendations or just go on newegg and search for quiet fans? I'll probably just go to newegg then.

What kind of fans do you people use if the low hum is unbearable?

in doing a quick search on quiet fans and qiet cooling I found out that fanless cooling systems are apparently a thing.

Yeah, Corsair ships trash fans at least noise-wise. The H100i fans were the loudest fans in my system. I'm glad I replaced them with some Gentle Typhoon ones.

If you have an asus board, you can 5v the fans (40%) with ai suite fan xpert. Lowest I can get them with just the bios is 7v (60%).
