TBH, while they're great cheap/entry level workstation GPUs for not-so-serious modeling, scientific computing, ect, if they were actual serious workstation cards, they'd have ECC memory.
They're more like an inbetween, for people who want workstation card DP Gflop performance and memory capacity, but don't need the ECC memory reliability.

Why don't you just save $800+ and SLI Titan Blacks? OK, heat maybe, but if you're spending that much just water cool it.

As for when it'll be outdated, as soon as they make a faster dual GPU. It'll likely play games quite well for a long, long time though. Like, 4~5 years of medium-high or better.


nope it actually has 12GB of usable vram. still not worth the price though
