What's a good 27" gaming monitor?

I'm planning out my future gaming rig and I need a reliable monitor. Do you guys have any personal favorites, or any recommendations?

If you're curious this is what I plan to buy.

Someone told me that I should change my mobo to Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H to save money. Is that sound advice?

A gaming monitor as opposed to a skype monitor?

Look for the one with the most LEDs attached

I just got my Qnix QX2710 recently and it's brilliant. So much cheaper than buying a brand name one and it's perfect (well if you have the power to pump out 1440p anyway).

Imo going 27" on 1080 is a bad idea.

Yea I'm using a 27" (http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27EA83-D-led-monitor) and Metal Gear Rising maxes out at 1080p on settings and it still looks pretty damn good even not playing at monitor's native resolution.
