Mechanical Keyboard help

#1iPWNtheNoobsPosted 7/2/2014 9:54:19 AM
I plan on buying a blue switch mechanical keyboard. Don't really care if backlit or not, but I guess it does look cool (pref blue blacklit).
Been looking at the Ducky Shine 3, $150, almost always in backorder at the store near me(ncix).
Also, been considering the new Das Keyboard 4. $170 but no backlit.

What would you recommend? One of those or something else.

I use the older version of the Das. Love it, but I wish it was backlit.

Wait a couple months for the Corsair K70 RGB. In August, they're releasing it with blue and brown switches and with red in a couple weeks. $170, already solid keyboard, but it has really fancy lighting effects. Check out a video on Youtube.

Looks pretty sweet, only thing missing is a USB hub.

I did see the video. Looks sweet, and Corsair is usually good quality I'm guessing.

Oh, that was my 3rd keyboard of choice, but didn't know the releaste date.

Best keyboard I've ever had and it's exactly $150.

I'd recommend this keyboard.

You need only two tools in life: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Saw the Corsair video a while ago.

Available late July with Cherry MX RGB red switches (blue and brown switches available late August)
Damn. Late august, so another 2 months of waiting.
Some people are telling me to get brown, some telling me to get blue. Going to be a tough decision

I love my shine 3. Would buy again and for more...

As soon as they make a RGB version I'm going to upgrade. The corsair one is cool but I don't like that styling I guess is how i would put it.

Yeah get the RGB K70, it's what I'm waiting for.

I still don't know if I should get Red or Brown switches though. I've tried both out and like them both :/
