Just remember...getting more is as easy as a few clicks in Google.

For my future build I'm planning for 16GB if the RAM prices drop and I can fit it into my budget. I currently have 8GB.

I upgraded from 8 to 16 and literally noticed no difference. Unless you're planning on making RAM disks, etc., the money is better spent Elsweyr.

You weren't suppose to notice a difference lol.

There will likely be no difference.

It's pretty simple, really. RAM isn't the same as something like a video card, motherboard (In the case of the bus), or processor. In most cases, a RAM upgrade will only help out if you're low on RAM. 8GB is plenty as far as gaming is concerned.

If you do development of any kind or use productivity software like Photoshop, more RAM is always nice but still not a necessity.

No, 8 gigs is fine. I say that and I have 16 gigs that I bought just cuz. You're literally just spending more money on nothing, I don't think I've ever had more than 6 gigs in use at any time

640k is enough.
