I'd stay away from it, just look at this negative review:

The stand is very wobbly

It has received consistently good reviews though. Wobbly stands are only a problem in the desk isn't stable itself right?

I have literally the same monitor. The stand is wobbly, but you only see it if you kick the desk or shake it. During normal use it's steady. I'm no artist but I think it has good colors.

Whether or not there is better monitors out there in that price range I can't help you with. But I don't regret my purchase.

You can always get another stand right?

I searched up a quick search and found this one:

From Dell's Ultrasharp line of IPS monitors, I think this is a budget version. Looks decent.

That monitor doesn't seem very popular though. :(

It would be easy to remove the flat part of the base, but I feel the problem probably lies with the stem. I haven't tried anything as it really isn't a problem unless your using the buttons on the monitor a lot.

I wouldn't worry about how popular an item is. It could be popular for the wrong reasons, at least for you, and that Dell has good ratings anyway. Personally, I'd take the dell over that Asus one. From reading a few reviews, it seems the Dell doesn't have as an aggressive anti-glare coating which I prefer. It doesn't look as grainy.
