I bought it. Played it for about 20 minutes after installing a bunch of mods. Realized it was the same game and backed out.

Oblivion doesn't pander to the casuals, which makes it instantly better.

Arena and Morrowind are god-tier though. Haven't played Daggerfall.

I made it like 30 hours before realizing there are no good quest chains and the world is empty

Skyrim is the most overhyped and overated game of the century

Well, yeah. I bet there's a mod which circumvents that though.

I never thought level scaling was that bad though. It didn't really limit you.

The leveling system in Oblivion didn't bother me either. I had a great time with that game and look forward to playing through it again in the future.

The graphical overhaul mods make it looks as good, if not better, than Skyrim.

I put 500+ hours and had tons of fun with the mods.

It was worth the full price for me.
