What multiplayer game has the highest skill cap?

I have thousands of hours in both twitch shooters and starcraft, and I gotta say starcraft has a bigger ceiling

there's way more little things to do and calculations to make to play optimally
although I do think it's a very hard decision that goes back and forth in my head

also I'm quite sure Quake > CS

League of Legends is pretty high on the list, you can always be better and you have to constantly hone your skills and think on your feet.

Starcraft is pretty competitive and has a ridiculously high skill cap too, but in Starcraft it's more about getting faster, not better. You need skill too, obviously, but reacting faster and shaving off milliseconds on your rush is what really separates the boys from the men

shaving milliseconds has nothing to do with the hardest things in starcraft really
well it does but it's only a small part of it

Not THE most difficult games to master, but certainly up there.

Well if your talking actual skills, then probably something like Quake 3 Arena or similar games. But if you include strategy in the question, then it's a much harder decision; especially if strategy and skills are weighted differently in terms of importance.

Starcraft 2

Anything else is preschool recess-tier

How difficult is it to learn and get good at starcraft 2?

people practice 10 hours a day every day since launch and still aren't good enough to win tournaments, but they can get pretty far.
