Looking for a new racing game

#1zero0817Posted 7/5/2014 4:05:11 PM
I am looking for a new racing game to play. I prefer ones with decent car selection and customization. Some of the recent racing games I have played and enjoyed are Dirt 3 and both Grid 1 and somewhat Grid 2. Any suggestions?

If you have a PS3, the Gran Turismo games. If you have a 360, the Forza games.

If all you have is a PC, I don't know... there don't seem to be many options that I know of.

Not really a realistic / classy game, but next car game is so much fun! There's a free demo too, I'd really recommend it.

New Grid is out. Assetto Corsa is fantastic. For deep sim experience go with iRacing.

Nothing new has come out with the customization you're looking for, but Shift 2 Unleashed has a decent selection and the ability to customize.

The F1 games by Codemasters are awesome. They don't have a huge variety of cars or customisable settings to the car as they are F1 cars, but the variety of tracks and super challenging AI will put your concentration and focusing skills to the test.

If you love and understand F1 as a sport you will love the games. Some people get into the game and wonder why they can't win a race or get pole position with a lower ranked team, then quit the game. As you progress through the seasons you get access to better teams and cars and can eventually pull yourself up to the top. It's a huge challenge, especially is you set the game to full race mode.

Do you have a wheel? I've played the game with an Xbox 360 wired controller and a wheel. It's playable with both but the wheel will give you an advantage.

Good luck on your next choice.
