Does it still drastically kill performance in games. I upgraded for about a total of 20 minutes a month ago. I was getting 70-80 constant in FFXIV on W8 and then all of a sudden, I'm getting 15-30 flux on 8.1. It wasn't just FFXIV either. Everything dropped. I was sad, I was so hyped for Project Spark too...

Dark that is a problem on your end. It could be drivers? I been using Windows 8 since launch. It's lighter then Windows 7. Also played a lot of FFXIV on it. W 8.1 runs great.

Its not a problem at all on my end. There are numerous forum posts about W8.1 killing FFXIVs framerate as well as numerous other games when paired with certain GPUs or CPUs W8.1 needed more time.

Its not my hardware trust me. Also, update my drivers, how do i do dat??? I neva update my drivas.

Jesus.

windows 8.1 is just fine I've been using it for 3 months and I've learned all the nooks and crannies. It's a learning process, but it's not that difficult; if it is then youtube it that's what I did.

There's never been a problem with Windows 8, people just cry when things are different. The average IQ here is very, very low.
