What are the DRM-free retail releases in recent years?

Depends on your definition. Kindle is practically DRM free, just not in spirit.

They have retail (not digital) Kindle apps/books/games/other items? When did that happen? O.o

Wasteland 2 is sending me a boxed copy within a year (I hope they patch it up before I get it.) Planetary Annihilation is sending me a USB drive and I'm getting a bullet shaped USB drive from The Dead Linger whenever it finishes. Other than that I just cruise Half Priced Book Store and Amazon.com for whatever they have. I live with Satellite internet so I'm just clinging on to new games.

The last DRM-free retail game I bought was World of Goo in a jewel case.

I buy all my ebooks physically so I can display them on my shelf.
