Look I have no real love for EA as a whole but I'm not going to deprive myself of something that I want to experience because I have a problem with what they're doing on X or Y game.

It's not like EA only makes a few products, they make A LOT. The products that I have a problem with for whatever reason, I won't buy. But if they make a game that truly interests me and I don't see any clear cut issues with, I'm buying it. Without regret. Life is too short for that kind of bull**** in regards to a video game company. This isn't life or death.

I would have that issue if every game they made didn't get EA'd (EA is now it's own adjective).
As long as EA keeps EAing games, I won't be interested.

So clearly the better solution is to give money to a company we loathe, or better yet not try to discourage OTHER people from giving them money.

I'm sure there is a better word to describe what this is, but ultimately I disagree with this statement.

If there's a game I want from them I'm just gonna "test it out" for free.

Oh, I stopped supporting them years and years ago, I find them quite detrimental to the greater interest of gaming.

Yeah this. And as I've said before their last DA and ME games were bad, so I have no reason to buy anything of theirs in the future. They ruined a ton of franchises and DA and ME were just the latest.

I'll continue buying their games if I want them.

Mirror's Edge 2, for example, is a game I expect to buy from them.

^^ This.

I honestly feel sorry for the people who just refuse to buy ANY title that is connected to a certain company, based on butthurt feelings from something in the past.

It's your prerogative to do it....It's just rather silly, since in the process you are also cutting off your access to some fun material. And being able to play all of the good stuff out there is what makes this hobby so great!

Yeah but it's sort of like losing an 11th toe, yeah you could play with it, but you don't need it and you have 10 other toes to play with.

It starts with 1 person thinking they can make a difference. If you try then others will follow, eventually, and you can change things. It's how the world changes.

However people with your attitude never change anything and are a detriment to those who are trying. I suppose you don't vote, either, eh?
