Yeah, it's not worth it at all. I know I read reviews of the 4790K and they really didn't overclock better at all. It's still Haswell so it's not any more efficient either. If you really have an itch to upgrade, wait until Broadwell at least. I wouldn't upgrade that soon, though.

the 4790k is pretty much a delid 4770k with iris pro as it's graphics..if you want a similar overclock just delid your cpu or find someone who can do it for you
