might as well buy some of those $1,000 hdmi cables while you're at it

$200-700 or more headphones are no where near required to have a great audio experience

I would recommend these, braided cheap, sound amazing, I have about 3 pairs. Just look up reviews for them, they're highly praised around the net.


Get the black ones, soft touch finish feels so much better than the shiny. If you were thinking about getting the colored ones (some people do), just note they don't have braided cables. I would also recommend getting a set of replacement ear tips from a better brand, the stock ones are pretty bad.

I've read good things about the Yuin PK3 earbuds, but haven't bothered to order any.
So far, my old pair of Sennheiser MX400 earbuds still get the job done for whatever I listen to.
