So Zotac made a smaller, faster, and quieter PC than any current console

Yeah, with the heat issues a 750 / ti likely would have been a better choice in Gigabyt's model.
The thing would likely have been cheaper and likely wouldn't throttle it's self down to 1/3 its normal level.

It was actually getting stuck in 2D and even idle clocks at times in order to beat the heat.
I think better directed airflow would have been good, too. It seems like it must have been eating heat off of the i5 a lot to not be cooling off when running 405mhz.

Well, better CPU but worse GPU than the PS4. GPU's more important for gaming so I wouldn't call this PC faster.

680m is faster than the PS4, the PS4 has a cut down 7970m, the 680m is notably faster than an uncut 7970m. Apparently it has throttling issues though.

So it's basically a 15" rMBP but in a box rather than laptop form?

And cheaper of course.

It's an 860M, not a 680M. The 860M is equal to a 750 Ti.

Hell even if thats weaker than a PS4 its still cool as hell. My i7 3770 with no GPU plays games pretty good in 720P.

So even if you hooked this thing up to your big TV in the living room and ran it on 720P sitting 6-8 feet away it would look wonderful and you would have the massive library PC gaming has to offer. better buy than a PS4 really.

It's not a console killer until it's priced competitively against consoles. Why is that so hard to understand?

PC can do far more than a console. Why is that so hard to understand? The point is that not even a year into this console generation, the consoles have been surpassed in power at a similar form factor. That used to take longer. What's the point of of consoles if your typical office computer, or even a tablet, could beat the crap out of console hardware. A few extra hundreds mean very little when tablets, laptops, and desktops all have so much more functionality.
