This is a split board - You can return to the Split List for other boards.

This is my last effort at overclocking this POS.

I've tried different parts in the machine, so it's either the motherboard or the CPU. I've tried the auto overclock thing for 20% or 40% increase. I get the same issue. I'd love to try a different motherboard, but I don't know anyone around with a 1150 board. I'm checking with Gigabyte, but they're just idiots about troubleshooting it sounds.

I'm gonna say mobo issue, no way you're not getting any leeway with that chip. >_<

That's been my thought this whole time. EDIT: Okay, not this whole time, but the past couple of weeks for sure. Just wanted to get some support on that or have someone tell me I'm stupid and to change XY and Z to AB and C, but that didn't happen.

So, anyone know Amazon's return policy on opened motherboards?

Just got another response from Gigabyte. They just asked if I'd tried other parts. That's like the third time they've done that. I'm just going to have to eat that purchase. I don't think they're going to RMA it. I'm really getting a bad feeling about Gigabyte right now. They've been my go to for the past few years. Problem is, other manufacturers haven't made me much happier as of late either. Maybe I'm just cursed.

How old is it? Can you just return it to the vendor?

If you bought it from amazon get in touch with their customer service, they'll return it

If you're overclocking, etc... and getting slow load times with Windows and video driver crashes. It sounds more like your ram is unstable. Use XMP profiles so it'll lock the ram timing, clock, etc. If not, when you change the multiplier, depending on your ratio you end up overclocking the ram also.

Maybe you did all of this, not certain because I didn't read the entire thread, tried to watch the video but it's hard to see a low res video clearly on a 2560x1440 display but just some food for thought. Good luck
