Dragon Age Origins is the better game. The voting is skewed due to this odd infatuation with Divinity right now. Ask again in a month.

This is wrong. I'm sorry, but only 35 hours into Divinity: Original Sin and it's already more memorable than all of Dragon Age (a game I actually somewhat enjoyed). Original Sin's combat alone annihilates Dragon Age. Then throw the exploration, humor, and monster variety on top of that, and Divinity is definitely the better game all around, and more closely resembles the oldschool RPGs than Dragon Age ever could. This will still be true not only a month from now, but years from now.

33 hours, and I say no. Dragon age has the better characters, full voice acting, story. It's overall just the better quality and more enjoyable experience. Divinity is cool. I've been enjoying it, but Dragon Age is the better overall game. Again, re-evaluate in a month. I think a lot of people are stuck on the hype train and their opinions will change. I don't take that track. "I can see clearly now, the train is gone!!" He he.

Dragon Age: Origins has poorly-written characters and an incredibly boring and badly-paced story. Haven't played Divinity: Original Sin yet, but it must be one heck of a stinker in those departments if even DA:O is better.

Dragon Age has better characters (since Divinity's are kind of blank slates), but the story is awful. Not that the one in Divinity is great, but DA gets no accolades for its pathetic story that peaks like 2 hours into the game and goes absolutely nowhere. Also DA had a couple of the most tedious segments I've ever had to slog through in ANY game.

i generally agree with this. though divinity's combat is far far better than dragon age's . and since that's most of what you're doing in both games, dragon age loses.

My whole life has been a miserable pig filled ordeal because of you.

Don't have Divinity, but DAO is extremely overrated. It's really generic.

DAO is a really mediocre story that takes a lot of plot ideas from better fantasy series. As much as was wrong with DA2, at least its story was a bit more fresh.

Characters, it's easy to win there when most of your characters in Divinity either are role played by you or have little to no backstory/dialog like your henchmen.

Combat, DOS takes Origins for a ride, absolutely fun and rewarding when you win

i prefer dragon age origins to be honest.. i'm playing divinity right now and it's good but overrated in my opinion .. while dragon age origins + awakening is probably my favorite rpg of the last 10 years or so
