Best headphones + clip on mic for under $100?

Need one for gaming. I mostly play CS GO now, so it requires a good headset for comp play. This is the one I'm currently using.

It's alright. I've had it for over a year and never had a problem with it. It is a bit uncomfortable at times.

Well, $100 and meant for competitive gaming, pretty much everyone will say the Audio Technica AD700s since they have a large soundstage (i.e. good for pinpointing where noises come from). You'll ideally want a sound card to give you virtual surround sound though, something like a Xonar DG, though that'll obviously screw with your budget. There is that program from Razer but I dunno how good it is or if it's even free.

Though I'm not sure on the pricing you can find for the AD700s now anyway since they were replaced by the AD700Xs which are above your budget IIRC.

In terms of quality, how different is the ant lion mic compared to a regular clip on or desktop mic for like $8 or so?

And yeah, the AD700X is $135, way past my budget.

Your cheapest option is going to be something like the Samson SR850 (Superlux HD668B) + Neewer Clip-on or modded LVA-7330. You could always try to find a used pair of AD700s or slightly used Senheisser HD558s. There might still be a few left on the Amazon Warehouse, which would be returns.
