ConEmu looks pretty late 90sish itself, but I guess it's better than the default.

It kicks the default console's ass. Tabs, better support for visual settings, ability to use both powershell and the standard NT command interpreter without launching a new Window... Basically brings the Windows console on par feature wise with what you'd expect on a modern *nix.

Some roads you shouldn't go down because maps used to say there'd be dragons there. Now they don't, but that don't mean the dragons aren't there.

Because I am a gamer and been using DOS and Windows forever, I obviously prefer using it. However, the XP and Vista days were brutal.
Win 7 on the other hand is a solid OS.

I also have several Macs at home for non- game use and for my kids. I also insisted my inlaws get one a few years ago when they decided to finally invest in a major laptop purchase. The reason for this is quite simple, if you are a common lay person with little to no computer savvy then Mac OSX is the superior OS. Also Apple still makes the best quality laptops hands down. Yes, they are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Been using Windows since the early 90's so it's what I'm most comfortable with. I usually upgrade after about a year after a new OS has been released to make sure the bugs are ironed out, but I've been using Windows 7 for years and don't plan to upgrade until Windows 9 comes out because I'm happy with Windows 7 and it's performance. First time I've done that.

I play games too, so Windows it is. I've used Macs before but don't really like them. They are nice, but just not for me.

Windows and Tails. A good combo.

How on Earth are his posts not disruptive posting? Typing in all caps or other annoying gimmicks is moddable, why would code tags not be?

I think the mods appreciate his dedication. At this point if he didn't post in code tags it would be disruptive posting.
