Lots of hype 6-9 months ago, now there's barely any talking aside of the Alienware one.

Thinking of buying one for PC gaming.

They won't be coming out until SteamOS is ready for prime time, and you know how Valve is with disclosing specific release dates. I wouldn't expect anything before Q3 at least.

-Steam Controller not ready yet.

Can't have a steam machine without those.

It takes time. They want to release a product that is worth while instead of rushing out with something halfassed like Alienware is doing. The controller being perfected and to finish Steam OS are the major issues, after that, they can give the green light on any computer company that wants to do business.

Just buy another hard drive and download the steam os beta. it's on there stie somewhere. it's kinda lame thou since most linux programs don't even work on it. well the one's i tried like open office.
