Take the cooler off for the move and re-mount it when you're settled perhaps. That's a great first build.

Thanks!

Is there any fear of air bubbles after removing the cooler - should I remove the thermal paste and reapply once I complete the move?

Always remove and reapply whenever you take off the cooler.

Metro (2033 and last light), Battlefield 4, and perhaps even Crysis 3 (more for the eye candy than gameplay).

Not sure if any rts will really wow you graphically but Starcraft 2, and the supreme commander games should tax out your cpu in certain situations.

Noted - I'll be picking up Starcraft 2 and the Metro games tonight or tomorrow!

I actually already beat Metro 2033 on 360 but something tells me this will be a much better experience on a PC...God I missed playing an FPS with a mouse!

Played counter-strike 1.5 and 1.6 for YEARS then stopped when I got 360. I feel like I've returned home, but somebody magically replaced my home with a mansion :)

Your heatsink has parts that fall off? Dude get rid of that asap. You don't want that falling on your gpu.

Just play some counterstrike in crystal clear high def running at max frames and you'll realize why there is nothing like PC gaming.

Definitely try out CS:GO then. And get metro last light, it's the sequel to 2033 so it'll be a new experience as well as being some nice eye candy to run on your new rig.

No it's fine now- are you familiar with the Hyper T4...not sure if the EVO 212 and other coolers are the same but here's how it works:

-Bar that slides over the copper wires with two latches on each end.
-The latches attach to small arms sticking out from the support brackets attached to the mobo
-Above one of the latches is a little lever you rotate 180 degrees which pulls up the latches and tightens the cooler in place to the main mobo.

What sketches me out is:

1. The lever is plastic...seems very shoddy and low quality to me.
2. The latches after being secured popped off once while installing some wires when I hit the cooler with my hand.

Is it worth removing, returning, and replacing with a better cooler or do you think I'm fine for now? Anybody here with a Hyper T4 have similar experiences and opinions?

EDIT: On second thought - do you think using one or two plastic zip ties to hold it into place would be a good idea as back up to hold it up?

I have a very similar build actually, that 770 is going to serve you very well.

Unless you game in 3D or 4K, in which no GPU is powerful enough to satisfy you.
