What can you say about Murdered: Soul Suspect?

Topic.

All I know is that you're going to solve your own murder. I don't want to watch vids to see if the gameplay's okay, so I won't spoil myself too much. So is this game good or bad in your opinion?

It's a bad game. Runs like garbage, looks like garbage, story is cool for about 15 minutes, can't walk through 90% of the town (you know, the one thing that would be cool about be....a Ghost), no actual "detective" part, you can just keep selecting whatever clues you want until you hit the right combination there's no penalty, locations are uninteresting, "combat" feels so tacked on it's hilarious, all your ghost powers (teleportation, possession, activating random objects) are useful in the one specific story point then never use it again, short, "side missions" consist of reveal X number of generic object in the location you're at. Just a bad game.

Sucks, had potential, could have been a really cool game. And for perspective I got it for $20 on launch day, still got ripped off.

I heard its 3 hours long but story is decent. Watched someone play it on Twitch and it looked ok. Will wait for big price drop before getting it.

I bought it on release and enjoyed it.

This game is very linear and very easy. There are some interesting aspects such as going through walls or using your ghost powers to kill the enemies which I honestly felt like there shouldn't have been any in the game.

I personally liked the story as it would be interesting enough for you to want you to find out who the killer is.

Also really the game isn't amazing so I suggest to wait for a sale to pick it up.

Just play the ace attorney games or ghost trick, they don't look as good but everything else is better. They're available on ds/3ds/ios/android.

Soul suspect was a good idea, but its all very basic and dumbed down. Soul suspect shouldn't have had the budget it did, it's not the sort of game that works as a triple A sort of release.

I guess that's what happen when you take what is essentially an adventure game and try to give it "broad appeal for the masses".

Not enough to play it. You could easily watch the opening cutscene, and then skip to the "final boss" and you'd get literally all of it without the massive tedium.

Nothing between those two parts expanded it in any meaningful way, and it's not like there was a chance for you to figure out who it was, or any interesting misdirection. It's pretty much the perfect example of how NOT to make a mystery.

I see. And I expected somewhat big because it was a Square Enix game.

I rented it on Xbox one from Gamefly and it was okay, and a I would buy it when it lowers in price for about $20.
