The devs of Star Citizen will be disappointed when they release and nobody buys.

Because their cheesy ass crowdfunding model means anyone who is ever intending to play the game already owns a ship months (years?) before the game is released.

They will just add new ships and other things people need to spend money on.

I honestly feel like the game is going through a perpetual state of "oh crap we are running out of money, quick release a new $200 ship!" <everyone buys> "yay! more money to misallocate and waste!"

So instead of buying the game itself you buy the ships right?

That side of the game disgusts me. Nobody smart is actually looking forward to that side of the game, right? Right?... Nevermind.

there is nothing good about a sleezy crowdfunding model that has sold $50 million of DLC before the game even released.

I am sure the game will be very fun, but I do not like their buy in system.

The game is proof that hardcore gamers are tired of the casual crapware AAA publishers s*** out on a daily basis. If they won't give us a game we want, we'll fund it ourselves.

And before anyone asks, no I haven't bought in to anything.

i think the millions upon millions they are making already (all the money isnt going to the game of course) will make them happy.

Also, you won't be able to buy ships after the game launches. If you're going to hate on something, at least research it
