I couldn't say, I only used Wrye Bash because certain Skyrim mods depended on it. The advantage of Mod Organizer is it doesn't mess with your game's installation.

I might just give that a shot. I'm pretty satisfied with Wrye Bash, after TES Mod Manager disappointed me.

Well, I'm liking the Mod Organizer so far. My downloads seem to be kind of slow to start up, but I think that might just be the Nexus being all prima donna on me. I noticed there was a Nexus import option. Does that work well, or is it advisable to just reinstall everything from scratch. I'm thinking the latter.

If it's anything like TMM importing, I'm pretty sure it just imports the info from Nexus, such as the name of the mod, version number, author, etc. Could be wrong.

I don't think you can make a merged patch with MO.

Ok so no unofficial patches or anything needed. Good looks like I just need to nab a texture mod and then I can play through vanilla before modding it.
If you haven't yet buy brothers, isolate yourself from people for 2-4 hours and play it through.

Project Nevada, EVE, YUP Patches, NMCs Texture Pack, DarnUI are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Move all your Nexus downloads to /Mod Organizer/downloads

Now I'm getting an error when trying to install a few. The Mod Organizer says, 'None of the available installer plugins were able to handle that archive.'

It's doing this for 2K Textures - Landscape and Immersive Armors so far. My first though was because their archives are rather large, but 2K Textures - Towns is larger than Landscapes, and it installed fine.

*for Skyrim, I should add.
