If you downloaded and installed 14.4, you're fine. It's easier not to worry about the actual version of the driver. Yes lets blame amd for something that is clearly a user error.
Also dark souls (if you mean the first one) needs a third party mod to run properly, it's just a terrible port.
TC did you buy a pre build? Did you update you drivers from something else? Did you just switch cards? You need to start from the beginning here or it's hard to see where the problem started. --- Drugs are never the answer, unless the question is what isn't the answer.
