I think TC is confusing Early Access with the Greenlight voting system. That's ok though, don't really expect much from people that use sarcasm the way he did.

If the people on this board worship Euro Truck Sim, Goat Sim and Octodad, then I don't see why people wouldn't orgasm at Big Rigs 2014.

The game sells well now because of how bad it is.

If it were released today?

Well judging by the scammer Sergey's latest scam, the War Z. I'd expect a bunch of really stupid rabid fans to keep defending it saying there is nothing wrong and it was worth the money.

Because those are competently made games and aren't extremely broken.

Big Rigs is something that a first time game maker could make in a weekend. It's an unfinished pile of complete junk. It's not even remotely comparable to the games you listed.

I don't think for a moment that Big Rigs would be anything special if it was released today. It would be about the level of Ride to Hell: Retribution, and that game got just a tiny little bit of attention.

I don't think it would be as big of a success as some of you think. It's not even Goat Simulator funny. Are people making tons of lets play videos of that "air control" game? That would be the modern equivalent of Big Rigs.

That game... is that game doing super well? It's not marked Early access though so I guess that means this game is A-OK.

Let's see... People playing right now.. 1... 1 is today's peak, all time high: 8. The game has been out since May 23rd... plenty of time for it to be seen as "oh so hilarious" and "so bad it's good".

All the user reviews are pretty negative. The developer had the nerve to tell someone the reason why the game sucked was because that guy's computer was bad.

Even Country Justice Revenge of the Redneck has that slight charm to it, if for no other reason that it's so god awful that it's actually kind of funny.
