Putting a PC together takes a 10-30 minute youtube video and a phillips screw driver.

Really? you think someone who is totally computer illiterate could just watch ONE 30 min video on youtube and instantly know how to put together an entire build, install the OS properly, and include all the necessary drivers, then set up all the required software?

That's what I did and I didn't even watch a video. Just read the instructions that came with my motherboard/windows. You can learn more in less time by reading. It's really not that hard.

The point you think you're making... you're not doing it. You're actually hurting your argument more than anything.

Computers essentially have what? About 6 measly parts to it lol. The Mobo, RAM, PSU, GPU, Drives, CPU. All of which a retarded monkey could hook up in under less than half an hour.

Building a car on the other hand is a much bigger project and has hundreds if not thousands of parts. WHich is why we have robots building them.

Building a PC is a lot like building a car... except not really. Just like being on the internet is like driving a car down the information superhighway (BEEP BEEP!).... Except the internet is not a big truck... you don't just dump loads of information on it. It's a series of TUBES!

So you're saying it's more like the Chunnel.

Building anything is a lot like building anything.

You research your end product.
You gather needed parts and tools.
You assemble parts with tools.
????
Profit. You've built something.

Building a car IS a lot like building a PC. Is it harder? Depends on who's being asked.

From personal experience, its about the same. A car would take a lot longer to do, just because of the scale of the project, but finding compatibilities is basically the same. Someone could easily make a http://carpartpicker.com/ type of website using the same layout and everything. It'd just be a whole lot lot more parts to deal with for the website to mess with.

Building a PC is like doing 5 addition problems on a worksheet and a car is like doing 500. Same concept, just more work.

Now excuse me while I see if making a http://carpartpicker.com/ type of website is profitable and will make me a million-billion-trilliionaire

I've already cleared that misconception, much of modern cars is unnecessary fluff.

You can build a model t from parts in a weekend.

Model t's are, in fact, road legal and only have a handful of components

Any auto part retailer worth it's salt has its own iteration of that
