If I use Asus live update, do I have to manually go into the BIO to do it?

I've learned that there are issues with the computer I'm using where it won't charge even when plugged in. I've been told that I need to update the firmware through the bios, but when using Asus live update, it tells me I'm already updated and there's nothing new to download. Are the two separate?

You talking about ez update?

if you go to asus support and look up your laptop there will probably be a bios you can download and also a tool to do so.

auto update is hit or miss, mostly miss.

So yea check the support site.

Thanks, and downloading the latest update includes all the previous fixes from past updates right? Or would I need to download all of them?

the most recent bios update includes all other updates unless otherwise specified.

If there is a proper order to apply something the asus support page tends to reflect this in the description.

Why does it seem like so many people think that "BIOS" is plural for "BIO"?

Basic Input/Output System, people.

EZ update bricked 2 laptops first time I tried on both. EZ update works fine on my Desktop motherboard and have used it 4-5 times.

Take that how you will.

I always flash directly from bios.

I "bricked" a mobo flashing a bios using EZ Flash as well but I had a backup chip flashed and knew how to replace it.
