If you're willing to sacrifice the colors and viewing angles, get this one http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-24-Inch-Screen-LED-lit-Monitor/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406167685&sr=8-1&keywords=vg248qe
Personally, I prefer IPS. Sure, 144Hz is nice, but it doesn't really do much except require significantly more power unless you're in top-tier FPS stuff. Both are good monitors though.
EDIT---- Make sure you get a 24 inch monitor at 1080p. 27-inch starts to get a little blurry at 2 feet away for 1080p. --- XBL A Killing Pie~PSN A_Killing_Pie~Steam Scooby Doo "I'm going to put my quantum harmonizer in your photonic resonation chamber!"

24". 1080p is too low for a 27" monitor at that viewing distance. --- 15.4" Retina MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) | Node 304 mITX | Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI | Intel Core i5-4670K | Asus GTX 760 | Corsair 1x8GB | EVGA 600W | 120+240GB SSDs
