Those ultra-widescreen monitors look sweet, but most of them are 60hz. --- PSN/Steam = retrohunter95. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS4HQWWuqP8&feature=youtu.be

Yeah its good, unless you have beastly rig and keep it updated enough to run most games at such a high framerate. But Im pretty sure even the best stuff available today cant run the most demanding new games of today at that high steady enough to be worth it.

Wow... I seriously misread the title. I thought this was a topic about someone trying to game on a 60 MHz CPU. -_- --- Logic is the antithesis of faith, else why is it that faith defies logic while logic denies faith?

60hz will be standard for a few more years yet. It will take time for the average persons average hardware to run games above that.

I won't say that I miss 60 Hz after upgrading to 144 Hz, but I was fine with 60 Hz for over a decade and I still am. I hated it on CRTs because 60 Hz is slow enough that you can see the flickering, but on LCDs, no problem. --- -What is best in life? -To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.

144hz is nice, but until they make 'em in IPS format, I am content with my 24" LG. --- Annie's always asking people to see her bare tibbers. ~ jalm94
