Is it possible to use one Steam account to play co-op using offline mode?

If I have a co-op game on Steam, is it possible to launch steam on my PC in offline mode, then launch it in offline mode on my friend's PC, and play the game in co-op using just one copy of the game/steam?

Possibly, if you're doing it through LAN. I dont think Steam allows two instances of its application to run on two different computers but if you have bypassed that, then there's no stopping you.

Yeah I was talking LAN, I meant doing this at a friend's house.

If the game uses any sort of steamworks or STEAMID integration then no. So no garry's mod or HL1/CS or any mods that use that.

Basically, if it's a game on steam but without DRM then go for it.
