Is it true that R9 270X cards don't support DirectX 10?

#1ghstbstrPosted 7/27/2014 10:11:01 AM
Okay I have read that R9 270 cards don't use directx 10, is this true? If it is then why is it that way, and why make a graphics card that doesn't support directx 10? As far as I know it supports directx 9 and directx 11.
Is there a way to check out the specs of the actual card that I have? Like a website that scans my card or a program that I can download that tells me what the specs of my card.

Look deep within your heart and ask yourself if you believe this to be true.

Well have tried 4 games that has directx 10 and it won't play them in directx 10, but it will in either directx9 or directx 11(if it has it). The game will freeze and/or crash after I click on directx 10 and save the settings.

Maybe you don't have DX10 installed? Or maybe you didn't install the drivers correctly?

I'm assuming you're trying to play Battlefield.

I am asking a serious question here. OKAY! So please answer me seriously. And BF4 isn't one of the games, as I don't even have that game and I wish that I did.

I have downloaded the most up to date AMD drivers that wasn't the beta, and I have done this 4 times now. Yes I deleted everything off of my pc from the uninstalled software area and I manually uninstalled everything that said ATI and AMD off of my hdd, and the issue is still happening.
***So like I have said before is there a website or something that I can download to tell what my video specs are?***
