Is it true that R9 270X cards don't support DirectX 10?

What games are you trying to run that won't load up in DX10?

One game that I am having the most issues with is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat. With my old card a HD 6770 I was able to play it on DX10 without any issues, but this new card R9 270X the game will freeze and then crash to the desktop on DX10. I can get it to work in DX11, but I want to use DX10 to get better performance and more fps.

DX11 would actually give you better performance, so long as you don't use any of the DX11 options.

DX12 and 11 contain 10.
And technically a DX10 card can use 11 and 12, but with reduced functionality.
And actually, a DX9 card can use DX10, but with severally reduced performance as features are emulated or omitted.
DX8 cards don't work well with 9, but 3 through 8 were all pretty much supported on all the hardware that existed, so a DX3 card ran DX8 no problem, etc.

I am asking a serious question here. OKAY! So please answer me seriously. And BF4 isn't one of the games, as I don't even have that game and I wish that I did.

Well I answered your question, regardless of the game my link should help.

I was talking about MaxCHEATER64, Sora_Anbu, and MahoganyTooth92.

Completely un install the drivers, then re install them.

I have done that already 4 times, so doing it again would be useless.

What are you using to Uninstallll

The first time I went I used windows uninstall a program but I didn't restart my pc, the second time I used the uninstall a program and restarted my pc, the third time used the AMD driver installer to uninstall all AMD software and then restarted like it asked, and then the fourth time I used the uninstall a program and the AMD driver installer to uninstall whatever was still around and then I went through my hdd and uninstalled everything I could find in every folder that was either ATI(my previous card) and AMD and restarted my pc.
After all that I still have the same issue, but my old card worked just fine with dx10 with that game.
This is getting frustrating.
