Windows Restore on new PC: "Windows could not find a backup for this computer"

#1BendoHendoPosted 7/27/2014 2:15:08 PM
I just installed Windows on a new PC on a SSD (the C: drive), and then made a backup on the storage drive (the D: drive), but when I go to the System restore menu, it tells me it can't find the backup on the D drive, even though I can see it in the system explorer.

No you don't understand, I am trying to use the backup that I am staring at right here and Windows is saying that it is not there.

You have to create a whole backup drive, not just a System Restore point.

I made a backup of my hard drive, but I can't find the option to restore my computer to it. I made the back-up on an external hard drive as well.
