So my nvidia driver problems returned but went away when I installed beta driver

Umm no, pretty sure anyone who knows anything around here can tell you that nvidia never has driver issues. They must have sold you an amd card in disguise or something.

Guess it isnt a big deal.

http://answers.ea.com/t5/Titanfall/POLL-Titanfall-materialsystem-dx11-dll-Crash-Graphics-Cards/td-p/2537144

According to that, people cant get through a game. I go for hours and only get an occasional crash. I'm just paranoid given my other issues. I dont even care if its merely a driver issue...it doesnt bug me to crash once per like 10-20 hours of play. I just know from experience driver crashes are sometimes a warning that my card is bad. On the bright side tho...at least i aint getting artifacts like i did on my 580 when the driver crashed.

At least I can read the menus in my version of titanfall. And play at 50 ping.

I had great pings in BF4 before you joined, then I jumped up to 350, then 700, then 999 and got the boot.

I'm blaming you. I was at around 55-70 ping until then.

Drivers can be crazy from one version to the next. Typically after a card has been out a few months the gains you'll see from version to version of drivers is minimal so once you find a stable set of drivers don't worry that you're missing out by waiting a few releases down the line till you find another stable version.

I remember on my 560ti I had up till January there hadn't been a stable driver released that didn't cause complete system freezes when watching videos. Though honestly it wasn't a big deal because the drivers weren't going to be able to push that thing any harder at that point.

I recently updated to 337.88 from using 314.22 on my 460/current 660 for ages due to having stability issues with later drivers. So far, so good.

If you're really concerned, download something like "Unigine Valley", crank the settings and let it run a few hours or more - if the temps are fine and it doesn't cause a driver crash then you're more than likely fine and any crashes you see are specific to that game. Some games have issues - I remember having to specifically go into the profile setting for Crysis 2, Borderlands 2 etc. and set "high performance mode" for power (even though that is the global setting) or I'd get regular CTDs. After I changed the setting it was fine.

Idk if those programs do much good. I know I ran furmark on my 580 like a week before it died and it passed with flying colors.

Just ran it for around 25 minutes....no problems. Temps hovered between 77 and 81 or so.

Ok, being paranoid again, but I'm not getting help from the BF4 board or reddit.

So basically, I was playing the propaganda map yesterday and when I went to a certain alley on the map between points B and D, my screen randomly got what looked like black artifacts on the screen. The thing is though, I'm not sure it was the GPU's fault. Like, it seemed strictly affected by the area. I would literally walk forward a few steps and they would appear, I woulf go backward and they would disappear. They only affected a tiny portion of the map, and seemed to be able to be brought up at will. After leaving the area and coming back a couple minutes later, they seemed to disappear, and I havent been able to replicate the error.

It is possible that it was just bugged geometry, if I'm not mistaken (could've been another map/part of the map), I think I remember getting invisible walls there like a week or two ago, so it could've easily been just some bugged scenery or destruction. But since I'm already paranoid about the card, I figured I'd ask. It should be noted I've NEVER gotten any definite artifacts on this card other than that.

I wouldn't use Titanfall as a good indicator. After the newest patch I get a missing.dll of some sort. But the game starts up. Also whenever quitting out it always says the game crashed.

Battlefield 4 also leads to bad assumptions based off wonky geometry due to the scale of destruction. Use a benchmark or something stable.
