ut 99 on windows 8

it runs fine but i noticed fraps mentioning the fps as 30. on windows 7 it was 60 or higher,anyone know why? how reliable is fraps? can it make mistakes?

Did you accidentally hit record? Does it look like it's running at 30FPS? The difference between 30 and 60 should be obvious.

If you have an nVidia card, use something like EVGA Precision X or MSI Afterburner to get your FPS. I didn't know anybody still used FRAPS.

I remember having this issue. I know I didn't record either I end up changing the video render to a direct 10 render and that fix the 30 fps issue I had with windows 8,
http://www.kentie.net/article/d3d10drv/ is the direct 10 rendering software that I use to fix this.

go to video settings and theres an option to change video driver. set it to open gl.
