First off, sorry if this was supposed to go in the Tech Support board, but it looked a little dead so I thought I'd post it here.

So my HDD crashed a month ago and I had to re-install Win7 with a new HDD and I had to download all my drivers on HP's support site. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling my sound drivers multiple times but nothing changes. If I'm listening to things it won't go out, but if I stop for like 5ish+ minutes, then it stops working until I test the driver or disable/test it. It's quite annoying because I use my laptop as an alarm clock at times and unless I run something like Netflix or something else that could use the sound on it, the alarm clock won't sound in the morning.

Anyone have any idea on what to do?

lol

I've tried Googling the problem but nothing really comes up. Was hoping you guys could help out cause it only happened after I downloaded my sound driver. The sound was working ok after re-installing Win7 cause it got a basic driver and detected it, but it wasn't nearly as loud as before because it obviously wasn't the right driver.

And now it doesn't work correctly :/
