What kind of desk, chair, speakers and monitor you guys use?

Am I really about the only person who just uses my television for the computer?

I personally see no need of spending $100 or more on a monitor dedicated to the computer when my 32" HDTV displays it just fine.

I love my desk!

It's a 6 foot long shelf on top of two filing cabinets. (A door is the more traditional choice, but I couldn't find one that was actually flat-- they all had decorative panels.) Cheap, easier to move with than a standard desk, and huge. (I still need to paint the cabinets to match the top, though.)

My monitor's some no-brand 24" TV, speakers are from a thrift store (they're Altec Lansing-branded Gateway 2000 speakers, so for $12 they're not bad) and a random cheap chair.

-Chair: Some generic chair made in china.

-Desk: A custom made one, made entirely of dark polished Granite. Its quite big, going from one side of the bedroom to the other. Holds my 32' TV, my dear PC and my PS2.

-Speakers: C3 Tech Subwoofer 2.1 CT68395I 21W. Cheap, but very good. Has an amazing sound quality.

-Monitor: Samsung LED 23 Ultra Slim Widescreen HDMI Full HD 1080P. Very good one. ^^

Chair - Some $80 business chair thing from a furniture store, not brilliant but it's ok for the meantime but I try to sit on the exercise ball when I'm writing music

Desk - Massive wrap around thing (2.2m one way and 1.9m the other) that takes up two full walls in the room (I still don't have enough space for all my midi controllers and assorted audio gear)

Monitors - Qnix QS2710 27" 1440 as my main and another 24" 1050 sitting on the other side of the desk for when im doing sampling work

Audio - Motu microbook running into a pair of Presonus Eris E8's and a M-Audio SBX10 sub. The E8's are sitting on a pair isoacoustics iso-l8r200's (best money I've spent in ages)

Desk: Black Glass L $140
Chair: Stapes Executive leather chair $200 (the best chair I have ever sat on)
Monitors 3X Dell U2414H monitors on a huge monitor stand $1000
Stereo: Well I just use my DAC and IEMs. This particular setup was cheap at around $250 but sounds great. When I want to use my stereo I go to the living room and flip the receiver to game and then everything switches over. The price of that is irrelevant lol.

I'd say up your budget a hair for speakers and monitors.

Desk: Some POS sawdust board type, although it looks like a desk so no sense replacing it right now.
Chair: Some sort of mesh back office chair with arms on it.
Monitors: Hanns-G 19", Asus 19", both 1440x900
Stereo: Panasonic RA-6100 with decent bookshelf speakers. Might not be pretty but I love it.

Lmao 20 hours?

If I had work that day I'd be on my computer around 6-8 hours. If I got a day off 8-20 hours. Pr0n, TV shows and games won't watch and play themselves so I gotta do it.
