Possible to transfer a Steam game to another drive?

Would it be possible for me to transfer Skyrim from my HDD to my SSD without having to reinstall it? Just move the files and change the shortcut in Steam or something?

Steam Mover program or symbolic link.

Steam Mover automates the symbolic link function for you if you don't want, don't know how, or can't do it yourself. The end result is the same.

Cut the game folder under steam/steamapps/common. Paste into your ssd, right click the game on Steam and click on the delete local game content. Then click install and download to your ssd. It should detect the game files and only download a few small files.
