Could someone suggest games that require some thinking.

Hearthstone?

I play that from time to time, but it has waaaay too much RNG to consider a truly great strategic experience.

I know having a well constructed deck can make up for it, but getting screwed over by a bad draw or by any of the gimmicky legendaries makes it difficult to think of it as much more than an extremely fun game.

Try Infinity Wars if you like TCGs

give me a break. High level WoW PVE should just be renamed to "don't stand in s***"

There's this one game I remember that I loved to death on my phone and it also saw a PC release. It was an ambience-based game where you controlled these tiny dots that spawned out of your big dots in time with the beat, and you basically had to tell them to go take over the enemy big dots, or have them join with your big dots to make even bigger dots that spawn more little dots over time. You were always Blue, and your enemies were Green and Red. I believe the fourth team was purple or pink.

It was tons of fun and the AI was really smart too. You had to really think about managing your resources(the dots). Taking over the enemy big dots is nice, but sometimes it's better to upgrade while your enemies fight each other.

In terms of graphics, it was incredibly simplistic. The background was pitch black, the music was very trance-y and soothing.

I'll take a look at it.
Hearthstone is the only card game that I've played on PC, and I would love to get my hands on more.
I used to love Pokemon and Duel Master cards to death when I was a kid.
Obviously I had no idea how to play Pokemon cards but I learned Duel Masters through the anime.
I even had the PS2 game (which wasn't great because it didn't have all that many cards)

Chess, Go

I like physical chess more than on PC, for some reason.
I think it's because it requires more concentration.
I play sometimes with my family, but I really don't fare well against the AI in the pre-installed one.
