Was given a "Watchdogs" code....any tweaking tips?

#1JKatarnPosted 8/3/2014 2:53:32 PM
As the title says, I was given an unwanted "Watchdogs" code given with a hardware purchase. I will be playing on the rig in my sig. Anything I should know settings/tweaking wise? Granted, I know I won't be able to max the game out on my rig, but if you could tell me the least noticeable things to notch down I would be appreciative.

You'll be able to max it and get better performance than somebody with a titan... You'd be surprised how well it runs on mid tier rigs.

Don't install the worst mod unless you're absolutely appalled by the game performance.

??? When have I ever said I hated open world games? I had fun with Saint's Row 2, loved Red Dead Redemption etc. Not really a GTA fan though.

Oh, I see, you're one of those people who can't reconcile the fact that the world doesn't revolve around your/your small "clan's" exact tastes/definition of "fun". Well, I do thank you for the help, though I could have done without the snark (though this is GameFAQs so I suppose that comes with the territory).

*fires gun into the air*

Now. Everyone's going to sit down, and discuss Watch Dogs in a civil manner,

I recommend going with an overall preset like High and just see if you can deal with it. You will probably get stuttering no matter what you play at. I found High to be a decent tradeoff.

Half-refresh vsync, 30fps frame limit and maximum pre-rendered frames set to 1. That's with a controller for that "smooth console experience." :P

Have fun!

set everything to high and use fxaa and you should be fine. if you need to turn things down, start with shadows.
