Sound on my computer isn't working after installing boot camp

#1jamieyello3Posted 8/3/2014 5:07:22 PM
It's a laptop, the speaker symbol has a red x and says "no speakers or headphones plugged in". If I go under sound in control panel the only device listed is ATI hdmi sound output. So far I've

Uninstalled boot camp

uninstalled sound drivers (ati and realtek) and reinstalled them

done a system restore

looked for options for integrated audio in bios (there are none)

Used microsoft fix it

and nothing. It was an installshield application. So far at least I can say I haven't made it worse at least.

You tried to run Boot Camp on a hackintosh? That's not a supported configuration and probably installed completely inappropriate drivers for your system

Your problem is you've spent your whole life thinking there are rules. There aren't. We used to be gorillas.

Boot Camp is for Macs. Why are you installing it on a non-Apple computer?

Why would it even start up on a windows if it was for a mac?

And I don't think I'd get an icon at the bottom of my screen saying "boot camp" if it wasn't meant for windows. Jesus Christ you guys.
