What's up with the preorder prices for AC4 & Far Cry 4?

Preordering from Ubisoft seems rather undeserved given how many of their PC ports have major optimization issues. I'm certainly not going to encourage them to get even lazier by giving them money up front.

Besides, their games drop in price surprisingly fast. No reason to rush buy.

Looks like Ubisoft is set on screwing their UK customers. If you don't mind getting the games on uPlay, buy them here:

No, UK. Both downloads are 50. That over 90 Canadion dollars.

But your prices are always numerically equivalent to the USD amount for digital entertainment, correct? Blame your country for having a strong economy.

It's gonna require Uplay regardless of where it's purchased from.

I meant getting it on uPlay as opposed to Steam (and uPlay)

Does this mean the games will be optimised for PC and they'll run at 60 fps + without hiccups?

AC4 and FC3 both were 40. Divinity is 30. I don't think the economy is doing that great right now but it's all arguable I suppose.

I thought that the UK always paid ridiculous prices for their games.

Since the current gen of consoles released, games in the UK have been 60 while they stayed $60 in America. Its outrageous but at least the government are aware of it and claim to want to change it. In the mean time I either wait for a steam sale or buy games from origin India/Mexico/Japan.
