one of the best strategy games ever made... and yet the entire game is less then 2 MB, released in 1995. sadly it doesn't run on 64 bit windows, you can run it thru dosbox but it looks horrible, and if i remember right doesn't full screen.
I loved Stars!, just so long as I either played an alternate reality race so I was immune to mass driver packets bombarding my planets or somehow managed to have no AIs spamming mass driver packets of death, doom, and destruction.
Of course I also liked the alternate reality race because while most planets were limited to mining 40kt/year of each mineral type once you got all of the deposits, on the AR races' home planets you could mine 4,000kt per fleet per year per mineral type. I'd often have 100 or so mining fleets working non-stop while that planet launched mass packets at "production center" planets and freight fleets transferred more to other planets.
Logic is the antithesis of faith, else why is it that faith defies logic while logic denies faith?
