If you're going to game on OS X, which even I find foolish, you're best off just building a high-end Intel/NVIDIA PC, and installing OS X on it via Hackintosh.

I feel like people who actually suggest this have never actually done it. Driver support for hackintosh is total ass.

Not even, as the above poster said. I have no issues at all with mine, it's a goddamn AMD as well. I have a writeup on the linustechtips forum on how to do it.

I would say mine is the best setup for Mac Pro Gaming.

4.3ghz Hexacore CPU
16 GB RAM
GTX 770
120 GB SSD
2.22 TB Storage
OS X Mavericks

Also, mine has the advantage of not looking like a sexualized waste bin.

C'mon TC, I delivered. I expect nothing less from you. Make with the pics of a better Mac Pro Setup. Don't forget the fat stacks of cash accidentally in frame too.

buy windows OS and use bootcamp. What I used to do when I only had an MBP for school. Don't want to go back to those days though.

I don't get why almost every audio studio still uses a Mac. We have a 400,000 dollar SSL console...hooked to a mac. It's so slow. I get angry.

That Mac Pro with the dual AMD FirePro D700 GPUs with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM each would probably run games very nicely.

Not really. Workstation cards don't run games that well.
