Is it possible to build an overclockable intel rig for 700?

I was wondering if it's possible to build an Intel rig for said budget of 700 dollars.

I'd prefer using the 4670k or 4690k and able to OC it at 4.5 ghz.

If not, I'll go cry in a corner and wait for a deal this holiday.

4690k alone is 229.99, I'd say get your tear ducts ready.

I think it would be possible, but don't have the time to do it on part picker right now. You'd have to go with a 3570k for that price level though, and get a lower level GPU too.

With a 4690K almost half your budget is gonna be spent on CPU+Cooling alone. It would make for a very unbalanced system with a $700 budget.

What's the purpose in it? It's definitely possible, pretty easily in fact, but it will be a worse gaming computer than what you could get other wise. If you want it for media uses it would make sense, but if you want it for a gaming computer you are better off having a better GPU

I got a 4670k and a 750 GTX for $750 on my build, no OS though

Ok I lied here's a starting point at least. I'd put the rest of the money into a better case. Then you'd just want to upgrade the graphics card sometime in the next year or two.

You could also put a better GPU in and leave the case, it's not that bad.

:::edited out cruddy build lol:::

Don't even bother with that, I just realized 3570ks haven't really dropped in price. Here's one with a better CPU.

Ffs I really am overtired. Last one. The prior one had the wrong motherboard in it. I keep realizing the mistakes I'm making while falling asleep lol. That's a start anyhow, it is doable, I would just sacrifice the graphics card power for now and make sure the CPU/mobo/case are good enough to last, upgrade the gpu later.

That looks manageable I guess.
